Gilbert O'Sullivan (born Raymond Edward O'Sullivan) is a pop singer/songwriter from Waterford, Ireland who is perhaps best known for the string of hits he released during the early 1970s. Since beginning his career in the burgeoning pop/rock recording industry of the late 1960s, O'Sullivan's breakthrough success came with the release of his chart-topping single "Alone Again (Naturally)" in 1972. Although the singer/songwriter has yet to match his commercial success during 1970s, Gilbert O'Sullivan has revived his career recently nearly three decades after his international debut to the delight of his many fans worldwide.
