Teitur Lassen is a singer/songwriter from the Faroe Islands whose eclectic folk material has helped bring him a respectably sized fan base in Europe. Beginning his music career as lead songwriter for the Faroese pop band Mark No Limits, Lassen would eventually leave the group, move to Copenhagen, Denmark and begin writing songs entirely in English. Poetry & Aeroplanes, his 2003 debut album, helped establish Lassen as a formidable talent and provide him with a reputation as being one of the more interesting Scandinavian musicians of his generation.
