Representing Leicestershire in the County Championship, Leicestershire County Cricket Club is a force to be reckoned with. Formed in 1879, it is a county cricket club that attained first-class status in 1895 and since then has won several honors including the County Championship, National League, Twenty20 Cup and Benson & Hedges Cup. The team plays its home games at Grace Road, Leicester and a few notable alumni include international cricket stars like Anil Kumble, Michael Bevan and Stuart Broad.
