Derbyshire County Cricket Club is one of the 17 English first class county clubs that was formed in 1870 and represents Derbyshire County in the County Championships. The club has held its first class status since its invitation to the County Championships in 1895. Its home is the Incora County Ground in Derby and has won prestigious laurels including the County Championship of 1936, Sunday League, NatWest Trophy and the Benson and Hedges Cup. Famed cricketers such as Ravi Rampaul, Simon Katich and Shahid Afridi have represented this club.
