Established in 1870, Gloucestershire County Cricket Club is one of the first class county clubs of England that competes against 17 other opponents for the glory of the County Championship. It has always been a first class cricket club and has won prestigious honors such as the Royal London One-day Cup, NatWest Trophy/ C&G Trophy, NatWest Pro40 League and the Benson and Hedges Cup. Despite having a very illustrious past, the County Championship remains a notable absentee in the club’s silverware. It plays its home games at the Bristol County Ground and has featured international cricket stars such as Kane Williamson, Muttiah Muralitharan and Courtney Walsh in its roster.
