About
One of Ireland's leading groups of satirists, Rubberbandits blends alternative hip-hop with political commentary and somewhat crude comedy. Comprised of MCs and wordsmiths Blindboy Boat Club and Mr. Chrome as well as DJ Paul Webb, the group members perform in masks or cover their faces with plastic shopping bags, in some attempt at veiling their identities. Since forming in 2000, Rubberbandits has amassed an impressive fan base, garnering millions of YouTube hits on its music videos and moving up from opener to headliner at Ireland's prominent music festivals.
