Ferencvárosi TC is a football club that's based in the district of Ferencvárosi in Budapest, Hungary. It was founded in 1899, and was one of the participants of the inaugural season of Nemzeti Bajnokság I in 1901. The club went on to become not just a consistent force in the league but a dominant one too. For the majority of the top-league finals, the club has either been an undisputed winner or a highly competitive runner-up. It has re-created this same legacy at the Hungarian Cup competitions. In Hungary, it is one of the most respected clubs and it has lived up to its reputation in many major European tournaments.
