About

Mandrage, a Czech pop rock band from Plzeň, was active from 2001 to 2020. The group, consisting of Vít Starý (vocals, guitar), Matyáš Vorda (drums), Josef Bolan (vocals, guitar), Michal Faitl (bass), and František Bořík (keyboards), emerged from the encouragement of their fathers, who were musicians. The band gained prominence with their debut album Říkala, že jí trápí cosi (2005) and their major-label follow-up Přišli jsme si pro vaše děti (2007). Their hits, including "Šrouby a matice" and "Hledá se žena," earned them several awards, including the Óčko Music Awards in the Rock category. They celebrated their tenth anniversary with a successful tour and continued to release albums like Moje krevní skupina (2011) and Vidím to růžově (2019). In late 2019, the band faced internal issues, leading to the cancellation of their 2020 tour and their eventual hiatus.
