Legendary UK rock band Girlschool is no doubt one of the most influential all-girl bands of the 1980s and 90s. Though never explicitly interested in touting feminism, the band marks a watershed moment in the presence of all-female punk and metal groups amongst a male-dominated music scene. Since the band's inception in the 1980s they have been active in touring and releasing records well into the 21st century. The band's tours attract a loyal following of Girlschool fans, there to celebrate the band's irrevocable impact on women and rock music.
