FC Twente plays for the fans of the Eastern Netherlands, in the town of Enschede to be exact. Established in 1965 through the merger of Sportclub Enschede and the Enschedese Boys, FC Twente has only won in the Eredivisie once since its inclusion to the top-flight. The club also won the KNVB Cup three times and the Johan Cruijff Schaal twice. The squad has played at De Grolsch Veste since 1998 and it holds a massive crowd of more than 30,000 ‘Tukkers’ or people of the East.
