Cannon and Ball was an English comedy duo comprising Tommy Cannon and Bobby Ball. Best known for its variety show The Cannon and Ball Show, the duo first appeared on TV as part of the talent show Opportunity Knocks. Cannon and Ball were friends since the early 1960s and performed at local pubs before entering the comedy scene. Over the years, the duo appeared on various TV series including The Wheeltappers and Shunters Social Club and Bruce Forsyth's Big Night. The passing away of Ball brought an end to this prolific duo's journey in 2020.
