The Milk is a soul/pop band from Chelmsford, Massachusetts whose brand of R&B music is reminiscent of 1960s Motown and Studio One music. The four-piece band builds its sound with undertones of pop, soul, disco, rock and 1980s hip-hop. Composed of lead vocalist Ricky Nunn, drummer Mitch Ayling, bassist Luke Ayling and guitarist Dan Le Gresley, The Milk successfully fuses genres and keeps its music from sounding dated by using flourishes of electronic keyboard and brass horns. The band released its debut EP, B-Roads, late in 2011 with Sony Music, shortly after it was nominated for the "Best Breakthrough Artist Award" at the UK Festival Awards.
