When thinking of reggae music, most people conjure images of a tropical style environment, carefree people who are willing to have a good time despite their society being overrun with social strife, and a country located in the Caribbean: Jamaica. With all these colorful images appearing in the minds of those listening to reggae music, it's slightly difficult to imagine a reggae act emerging from Germany. No doubt the Bavarian nation has made great leaps and bounds in humanitarian efforts since the days of Hitler and the Nazis, but it's still slightly strange to think of dreadlocked pastas running around the streets of Berlin smoking ganja and causing general confusion amongst German nationalists. But this is the 21st century and people have got to be willing to accept all races regardless of color, creed, or religious affiliation. So, those Germans better get used to all types of slightly obscure ethnic music and there's really no better group to start with then Gentleman & The Evolution. The dubbed out grooves will sooth the ears of listeners even though insightful lyrics about globalization, genocide and poverty might cause some minor frustration.
