Woody Pines is a folk outfit from Oregon that specializes in playing hillbilly and Appalachia-influenced music. The group released its debut album Counting Alligators, in 2009 and the LP managed to seep into the American folk music scene quite deeply--attracting a decent amount of fans. Opting to not dazzle fans with virtuostic solos or pointless instrumental noodling, Woody Pines instead opts to treat listeners to floor stomping choruses and easy to like vocal melodies.
