Sebastian Mullaert

Swedish musician Sebastian Mullaert has been a part of the electronic music scene since the 1990s. Primarily a classical musician, he spent a major portion of his youth performing with orchestras and quartets before graduating to pop music. His introduction to electronic music was a landmark moment in his life and he threw himself into producing music equipped with all the knowledge he had. He initially DJed at clubs where he met his longtime creative partner Marcus Henriksson. Both of them worked together on projects like Son Kite and Trimatic, but it was as Minilogue that their popularity rose. After more than a decade of working together, Mullaert and Henriksson parted ways in 2014 in order to pursue solo careers. Mullaert released his first album Genome I followed by Reflections of Nothingness the same year. Rather than incorporating fierce rhythms, he has always focused on producing thoughtful and arcadian melodies.
