Athenas María Venica, known as Athenas, is a Catholic music singer-songwriter from Buenos Aires, Argentina. She gained prominence with her album Alfa y Omega, which earned her a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Christian Album in 2022. Athenas began her musical journey as a child in the group KtrasK, touring Argentina and Uruguay. Her transition to contemporary Christian music began at age 15, leading to a breakthrough performance at the 2013 World Youth Day in Brazil. Since then, she has released several albums, including Cristo Reina (2014) and Todo Es Tuyo (2018), and received awards such as the Pío Awards for Best Female Artist. Athenas is married to musician Tobías Buteler, and they have a son, Elías, born in September 2021. She has also been recognized with the YouTube Silver Creator Award.
