Formed in 1873, Wakefield Trinity is a professional rugby league club that competes in the Super League. Officially known as Wakefield Trinity R.L.F.C., the club is one of the founding members of the Northern Rugby Football Union and has been playing its home games at the Belle Vue Stadium since 1895. Fondly known as “The Dreadnoughts”, the club last won a major honour in 1968 and since then the prestigious Rugby League crown has eluded them to this day. Notable alumni include Keith Holliday, Harold Poynton and Neil Fox.
