Diamond Head

Recognized as one of the pioneers of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal of the late 1970s, Diamond Head is a heavy metal band that was formed in 1976 in the UK. By the time the band released its debut album, officially untitled but commonly referred to as Lighting to the Nations or The White Album, in 1980 it had toured with legendary metal acts such as AC/DC and Iron Maiden and was sought after by several different record labels. After signing with MCA Records in 1981, the band was steered towards commercial success and away from artistic control, resulting in the band's demise in 1985 after two more albums. Front man Sean Harris and lead guitarist Brian Tatler, both founding members, reformed Diamond Head from 1991 to 1994 and again in 2000. The band continue to perform and record material including its 2007 album, What's In Your Head.
