About
Shalamar is a modern disco outfit that was originally created in 1977 by the Soul Train booking agent Dick Griffey. The group was highly influtential until it dissolved in 1991. After a few one-off shows, Shalamar officially returned in 1999. Fronted by powerhouse vocalist Jody Watley, the new Shalamar is put force of funk and modern disco.
