Cannabis Corpse is a death metal band that emerged out of Richmond, Virginia, in 2006. With marijuana-themed lyrics and a name that acts as a parody of fellow heavy metal outfit Cannibal Corpse, the band never takes itself too seriously while still offering abrasive, technically sound instrumentation, starting with its debut studio album, Blunted at Birth, which was released in 2006 with Forcefield Record. Cannabis Corpse released its fourth LP, Beneath Grow Lights Though Shalt Rise, with Tankcrimes Records in 2011.
