The Straits

The Straits was a rock band from the UK created in the likeness of British rock band Dire Straits. The Straits have mastered the catalog of one the UK's most commercially successful bands with three former members of Dire Straits: original keyboardist Alan Clark, saxophonist Chris White and session guitarist Phil Palmer. The three musicians are joined by Steve Ferrone on drums, Terence Reis as front-man and guitarist, Mick Feat on bass and multi-instrumentalist Jamie Squire. The Straits embarked on an extensive tour of the UK in 2011, introducing Dire Straits' music to a new generation of listeners and serving seasoned Dire Straits fans with the chance to experience the former band's music one again. In 2017, the band played their last show in Schupfart, Switzerland.
