One of the bands to establish the hard rock and glam metal hair scene of the mid-1980s, Cinderella was formed in Philadelphia in 1983 by Tom Keifer and Eric Brittingham. Inspired by rock and metal acts of the 1970s, the band endured a series of lineup overhauls before solidifying and establishing its over-the-top style, extreme fashions and arena rock guitar-based sound. Cinderella released its debut album Night Songs, in 1986 and has since become known for hits such as "Nobody's Fool," "Somebody Save Me" and "Gypsy Road." though the band has experienced a number of hiatuses since its heyday in the 1980s, it continues to perform for both new fans and nostalgic ones who miss the days of glam rock.
