Adapted from Michael Morpurgo's gripping novel of the same name, Private Peaceful is theater production that tells the story of a young British World War I soldier named Tommo Peaceful. The show takes place the night before he is due to stand on the front lines of battle, and Private Peaceful spends his potential final hours reminiscing on his short but happy life from his childhood in rural Devon, to his school days and the many adventures he saw with the love of his life, Molly. Private Peaceful examines the injustices of war and the unfair treatment of soldiers, particularly by hand of the British Government during the first World War, but its also a story of friendship and the bond created between soldiers in the trenches of war.
