Patrick Monahan is an Irish/Iranian comedian who came to the world's attention after winning the ITV's 2001 Take the Mike Series. His mixed background, audience interactive stand-up performances and animated stories make his brand of humor easily accessible through universal issues such as ethnic identity and troubled youth. Monahan consistently performs at comedy festivals and across the globe in the Middle East, Qatar, Dubai, and in most European countries. As his popularity grows, Monahan's appearances and gigs have become increasingly frequent --he hosted the Incisive Media Awards, won the ITV stand-up comedy contest Show Me The Funny and released his DVD debut, Patrick Monahan Live, all in the year 2011.
