My Dying Bride is a doom metal band from Yorkshire that was formed in 1990. After only six months of working as a unit the band released its Towards The Sinister demo tape, followed by its 1992 debut album As the Flower Withers. The band promoted its first full-length album by touring the UK and the rest of Europe's mainland. My Dying Bride released albums consistently throughout the 1990s and 2000s, including 2011's Evinta, while undergoing lineup changes around the centerpiece of lead vocalist Aaron Stainthrope and guitarist Andrew Craighan, the band's only remaining founding members.
