Shawna is an electronic musician and DJ from the San Francisco Bay Area whose passion for music began when she attended the folk portion of the Winnipeg Music Festival in Canada as a child. The festival gave her young ears the opportunity to absorb up-and-coming musical talent from all over the world, and had a major effect on not only her development as a musician but also her drive to become a world-class musical artist herself. Although Shawna's foray into electronic music didn't occur until she reached the age of 18, her skill at mixing and producing tracks that tastefully borrow from diverse genres such as downtempo, world fusion and ambient has definitely done its part to make Shawna one of the Bay Area's more acclaimed DJs on the scene today.
