In the heavily nuanced world of metal, 3 Inches of Blood might be called "fantasy metal" (they sing about vanquishing foes with a flying hammer from the sky) or perhaps even a buffed up version of 80s metal. With classic guitar solos and Iron Maiden style vocals, 3IOB satisfy the urges all those 80s metal albums seem just a little to wimpy to reach these days. They were formed in Vancouver, Canada in 1999 and continue to wreak havoc on stages everywhere.
