With most of its band members starting their career in the Asheville, North Carolina-based ragtime band Scrappy Hamilton, Truth & Salvage Co. was formed when they relocated to Los Angeles and crossed paths with a few other like-minded musicians in 2005. Shifting its sound to Americana/Southern rock, the five-piece began making its rounds at LA venues and caught the attention of Black Crowes front-man Chris Robinson, who immediately signed the band to his label and gave them the opening slot for his band's upcoming tour. Since then, the band has toured the West coast extensively and won over a devoted fan base.
