The Seattle Rock Orchestra, or the SRO, is a volunteer community orchestra that performs contemporary and classic rock/pop in an orchestral setting. Led by freelance classical musician Scott Teske, the Seattle Rock Orchestra has become an almost iconic fixture on Seattle's live music scene, and has become a place where both freelance classical and pop musicians can perform some of the more popular tunes they've come to know and love. From Radiohead and Arcade Fire to David Bowie, the Seattle Rock Orchestra selects some of the more acclaimed works and albums from rock music history for audiences who may have never had the opportunity to hear their favorite songs played by an exceptionally powerful symphony orchestra.
