Pere Ubu is a Cleveland, Ohio-based experimental rock group that was formed in 1975. The band's sound blends various genres including garage rock, art punk, avant-garde experimentation and blues to create an original style of music that has been dubbed "avant-garage" by the group. Though Pere Ubu performs with a good amount of auxiliary musicians during concerts, singer David Thomas has been the only consistent member over the band's long existence.
