Matt McCarthy is a stand-up comedian and actor from Providence, Rhode Island whose boorish brand of comedy prompted the New York Times to label the young comedian as a "John Belushi-like madman." Known by fans for his signature red hair and beard, in addition to being an outstanding talent on television, film and stage, McCarthy is one of the more recognizable stand-up acts on the comedy circuit today. In 2010, Matt McCarthy released his first album of comedy entitled Come Clean, which is being celebrated by many as an ingenious first outing by one of the country's more promising up-and-coming stand-up comedians.
