Either/Or

The New York-based Either/Or orchestra is a chamber music project lead by Richard Carrick and David Shively, a composer and percussionist respectively. The concept of the project and its rotating cast of players is to arrange interpretations of experimental music, rare classical pieces and avant-garde classical pieces. Often performing with an electronic component in the form of a laptop or digital controller, the group creates a truly dynamic sound within contexts that range from the unusual to the accessible. The orchestra performs mostly around New York and New England, though they have begun playing at more international events as they've picked up steam.
