Darren Hayman is an indie folk/rock singer/songwriter from Brentwood, England who is perhaps best known for his stint with the famed late 1990s British indie rock band, Hefner. Since the band's split in 2002, Hayman embarked on a solo career where he would experiment with various genres before finally settling back upon indie rock with his debut solo album Table For One in 2006. Following the success of his solo debut, the seasoned singer/songwriter formed a backing band and would release the album Darren Hayman & the Secondary Modern in 2007. So far, Darren Hayman has found his footing as the front man for his backing band, the Secondary Modern, and has released several successful albums ever since.
