Kria Brekkan is an Icelandic singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who plays a unique style of music often considered avant-garde pop. Though she now resides in New York, her homeland's landscape undoubtedly played a pivotal ;role in the way she perceives music and writes it. At times sounding like a child's music project, Brekkan's musical endeavors might not impress people with stunning instrumental arrangements, but her devotion to arty sonic creations have impressed connoisseurs of unconventional music. Brekkan released her debut single, "Wildering," in 2007 and though her output of material hasn't, necessarily, been adherent to a fast-paced schedule, the sparse amount of music she has released has managed to capture the ear of attuned followers of dainty, experimental pop.
