With an image set firmly in 1980s post punk reminiscent of Joy Division, one might expect London-based band R O M A N C E to create music akin to its image. However, the four piece actually makes very modern alternative rock with a focus on heavy basslines and high energy guitar work. After forming in 2008, the group went to work immediately on its debut album and just after its release, was invited to tour with The Cult, allowing the young group to perform for audiences across the UK.
