Dan Avery (aka Stopmakingme) is an electro and techno DJ who has been making a name for himself in underground electronic scenes thanks to his bass-heavy dance singles and remix work. Inspired by a wide-ranging set of influences that includes post-punk, My Bloody Valentine, The Chemical Brothers and Public Image LTD, his eclectic tastes are reflected in the sonic depth and shifting ideas of his music. As copies of Avery's original material, such as Wrapped in Plastic and the Rattle EP started changing hands, he started becoming an in-demand choice for remix productions. Popular names such as Death From Above 1979 and Hercules & Love Affair are just a couple of groups who have commissioned Avery's work, proving his worth in a heavily-populated and competitive genre.
