While Brooklyn-based duo YVETTE might make experimental drone--layering heavy distortion over its guitar and drums--underneath all of the fuzz is a highly complex song structure. This attention to composition and detail allows the band to transcend the title of noise or lo-fi shoegaze into something far more melodically rich. After forming in 2009, the band released a debut EP to much critical acclaim, paving YVETTE's way to a rightfully deserved bright future.
