About
Denton, Texas-based band Eli Young Band is a country music outfit that was formed in 2000. The band released its self-titled debut album in 2002, followed by its first Carnival Records release, Level, in 2005. Despite a rigorous touring schedule during the mid-2000s, Eli Young Band dedicated all of its spare time to songwriting and eventually came up with the material for its 2008 studio album, Jet Black & Jealous. Released with Universal South Records, the album spawned several singles, including the commercial hit "Always the Love Songs."
