Cirque du Soleil: Zed

Zed is a resident circus production at Tokyo Disney Resort that was created by the famed Montreal, Canada-based contemporary circus troupe, Cirque du Soleil. Housed at the eponymously-named Cirque du Soleil Theater, Zed is the company's second production to reside exclusively in Asia--with the first being Zaia, which resides in Macau. The show's narrative explores humanity's place in the world between the Earth and the sky, and draws a significant amount of inspiration from Tarot and the various Arcana associated with the mystic deck of cards. Since premiering in 2008, Zed has gone on to become one of Tokyo Disney's premier showcases, and the second in what is sure to be a long line of Cirque du Soleil productions housed at prestigious venues throughout Asia.
