British-born, New York-based singer/songwriter Nellie McKay is known for her various talents in the realms of music, acting and stand-up comedy. McKay has also worked as an actor on Broadway, making her debut in the play Threepenney Opera. However, McKay's dynamic range of talent is on display in her music most prominently, as she frequently explores different genres, either satirizing them or re-inventing them to great effect.
