Ray Johnston Band is a lively rock/soul/jazz band based in Dallas, Texas that has perhaps one of the music industry's most uplifting stories behind the band's formation, particularly regarding its leader Ray Johnston. Having won a long-term battle with leukemia, Johnston decided to take life by both hands, get a band together and travel throughout Texas and the Southwest performing his special brand of inspiring rock and jazz. Choosing to publicly celebrate his new outlook on a the life that he came very close to losing to cancer, Ray Johnston is already considered to be a hero, with a tremendous musical talent to boot.
