Pittsburgh duo The Wrong Airport was formed by Patrick Torrez and Ryan Woodring during their senior year at Carnegie Mellon University in 2009. Blending equal parts melodic indie rock and heavily looped, spacey electroacoustic beats, The Wrong Airport provides a creative take on an overpopulated genre. Self-releasing its debut album in 2010, the band has since taken time off from its campus jobs at Carnegie Mellon and embarked on a US tour.
