Cut Copy is a Melbourne-based indietronica band that was formed in 2001. Primarily the musical vehicle for chief singer/songwriter Dan Whitford, the band is filled out by a number of other musicians who man keyboards, drums, guitar and bass. Though the group became somewhat of an underground sensation after it released its debut album, Bright Like Neon Love, in 2004, Cut Copy truly managed to break through after it released its critically lauded 2007 sophomore effort, In Ghost Colours.
