Initially beginning his music career in the mid-1990s with the afrosoul band Yuba, Guinea-born William Baldé experimented with various styles of music before releasing his debut solo album in 2008. With his hit single from this release, "Rayon de soleil," Baldé became an overnight sensation in France and Belgium. The now Paris-based singer/songwriter continues to enjoy success with his acoustic French pop style.
