British singer/songwriter Alexander Tucker has developed a reputation as a purveyor of drone-folk, skilled instrumentalist and musician not afraid to experiment with strange tunings, tape loops and sonic improvisations. Based out of Kent, Tucker first began playing music in a hardcore band in the early 1990s, moved onto a post-rock project, then eventually began creating the solo work he's known for today in the year 2000. With his ability to weave an impressive soundscape filled with cello meanderings, banjo fingerpicking and noisy fx pedals, Tucker's music is often mistaken as the work of a full band, not that of a single musician. While Tucker does occasionally collaborate and perform with other artists, including the Decomposed Orchestra and Stephen O'Malley of Sunn O))), he is equally as interesting performing solo and is a true talent worth witnessing live.
