Formed in 2006, Elder is a genre-bending band that incorporates elements of stoner, doom, psychedelic and progressive rock in its music. It originally came onto the scene as a stoner rock band that wowed audiences with its unique approach to the genre. With the release of its debut album Elder in 2008, followed by Dead Roots Stirring in 2010, Elder established itself as a band to watch. Elder's Reflections of a Floating World even bagged the number five spot on the Rolling Stone's "20 Best Metal Albums Of 2017" list. Despite an extensive touring schedule, the band has consistently released demos and EPs in the span between full-length albums, its style ever evolving; pushing the boundaries of progressive rock.
