Boston's Street Dogs may be most well-known for the band's lead singer, Mike McColgan, former front man to legendary punk band the Dropkick Murphys. The Murphys made a name for themselves combining Irish music alongside punk rhythms, speaking about blue-collar struggles and being Irish in Boston. After becoming a firefighter since disbanding with the Murphys, McColgan decided to return to music, forming Street Dogs as a result. The band now has a loyal, intimate following, bringing the threads of what made the Dropkick Murphys great to Street Dogs.
