Combining Delta blues, Cajun swing, gypsy punk and old-fashioned rock and roll with a lively, ramshackle approach, Mama Rosin creates music that only a true cynic couldn't find at least one aspect to enjoy. The Geneva, Switzerland trio employs a street band style in its songs, crafting globe-trotting party tunes comprised of accordion, banjo, electric guitar and percussion. Vocally, Mama Rosin's members sing along in communal, rough-around-the-edges glee, singing in a number of different languages. Further proving the trio's genre-crossing appeal, it recently managed to open a stint of shows for popular indie blues-rock group, The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion.
