Farewell Continental is a side-project of Motion City Soundtrack frontman Justin Pierre. Where his main band tends to focus on bratty pop punk, Farewell Continental draws influence from a broad range of sources that includes shoegaze, power pop and 1990s indie rock. On tracks such as "Do You Wanna Tangle," Pierre and his bandmates craft infectious melodies full of boy/girl harmonies and textured electric guitar distortion that lends a ramshackle vibe to the big, hook-filled songs.
