Rachel Fannan is an indie folk singer/songwriter based out of Los Angeles. Inspired by introspective, melancholy songwriters like Fiona Apple, Joni Mitchell and Tori Amos, she creates sparse and haunting songs that often consist of little more than her bare-bones electric guitar plucking and the sound of her moodily effective and emotive voice. Fannan began playing music at a young age and was classically trained on piano before she turned to the guitar in her teenage years. When she isn't performing solo, she often collaborates with other artists and has recorded guest vocal tracks for the likes of Will Oldham, UNKLE and Sleepy Sun. Her debut album, Deeper Lurking, was self-released in 2008.
